Deputies continually work to prevent commission of crime, apprehend, arrest, and process criminals. They respond to service calls consistently and quickly to aid when help is needed. Deputies are responsible for enforcing traffic laws and writing citations. They secure crime scenes, conduct preliminary investigations, interviews and takes statements as well as gather information and evidence. Deputies additionally aid in serving warrants and other legal documents. They are also first responders for vehicle accidents, weather incidents, and medical emergencies, and will need to administer first aid and CPR as necessary.
